About the Event
Global Idea Lab Kumamoto is an event series that blends Kumamoto’s local assets with global perspectives to co-create new ideas and connections.
With TSMC’s large-scale arrival and the Cabinet Office’s designation as a “NEXT Global Hub City,” Kumamoto holds unprecedented potential. What turns that potential into reality is community. This time, we explore one question: What kind of community does Kumamoto need to become a true global hub? And how do we build it — together?
Following a keynote by Melissa from Venture Café Phoenix, all participants join roundtable discussions. Let’s cross language and cultural barriers to create new perspectives and connections.
We welcome participants from across Kyushu and beyond. If you’re traveling from afar, feel free to arrive early.

TSMCの大規模進出、内閣府による「NEXTグローバル拠点都市」選定——今、熊本はかつてない可能性を秘めています。このポテンシャルを活かし本当のグローバルハブに変えるのはコミュニティの力。今回は、ひとつの問いを探ります。熊本がグローバルハブになるために、どんなコミュニティが必要か？ そして、それをどう一緒に築いていくか？
Venture Café Phoenix（アメリカ・アリゾナ州）のメリッサによる基調講演の後、参加者全員でラウンドテーブル形式のディスカッションを行います。言葉や文化の壁を超えて、新たな視点や繋がりを生み出していきましょう。
九州各地や県外からの参加も歓迎します。遠方からお越しの方は、ぜひ早めにご来場ください。
