Where Global Meets Local! We are kicking off a new co-creation event series designed to blend Kumamoto’s local assets with global perspectives, continuously generating new projects to attract international business and talent to our region.
The First Theme (Dec 22): Designing the Ultimate Kumamoto Experience for Digital Nomads
Digital nomads work while traveling the world, location-independent and free. If they arrived in Kumamoto tomorrow, what would their ideal experience look like?
For this first session, we’ll focus on this rapidly growing group. By combining global perspectives with local knowledge, we’ll co-create the “Best 1-Week Plan” for them.
This isn’t just a discussion—the ideas generated here will feed into a real-world pilot program where we invite actual digital nomads to Kumamoto.
■Global Role: Bring fresh perspectives—”What does the world actually want?”
■Local Role: Ground us in local knowledge—”Here are the fascinating hidden places and people in Kumamoto.”
■Sustainability: “What do locals want? How can we use this to support locals?”
Let’s Co-create Beyond Language and Cultural Barriers
The main language will be English, but Japanese support is available, so don’t worry if you’re not fluent. What matters most is a shared passion to make Kumamoto exciting. Working together to chart a new path with a diverse team will be a stimulating experience for everyone.

■Global側の役割： 「世界では何が求められているか？」という新しい視点をもたらす
■Local側の役割： 「熊本にはこんな面白い場所・人がいるよ」という深い根っこを提供する
■サステナビリティ：「地元の人々は何を求めているのか？ それをどう地域支援に活かすか？」
言葉や文化の壁を超えて「共創」しよう 「英語はちょっと苦手…」という方もご安心ください。 日本語サポートが入りますし、何より大切なのは「熊本を面白くしたい」という共通の想いです。 多様なバックグラウンドを持つ仲間と一枚の地図を描くプロセスは、きっと刺激的な体験になるはずです。
